Love Nature 4K has greenlit the new natural-history series Wild Pacific Rescue, produced by White Pine Pictures.

Wild Pacific Rescue takes viewers on expeditions along the coastline of the Pacific Northwest as veterinarian Dr. Marty Haulena and his team rescue and rehabilitate such ocean creatures as orcas, sea lions, dolphins and sea turtles. The series is slated to premiere on Cottage Life in Canada in the spring of 2021 and roll out across select Love Nature linear and streaming video platforms internationally.

Wild Pacific Rescue is created and produced by White Pine Pictures in exclusive partnership with the Ocean Wise Conservation Association, the not-for-profit that operates the Vancouver Aquarium. Blue Ant International is handling licensing opportunities worldwide, including in the U.S.

Carlyn Staudt, executive VP at Love Nature 4K, said: “The stories in each episode highlight the passion the caregivers at the Vancouver Aquarium bring to their work and the deep connections they have with all animals. Wild Pacific Rescue’s breathtaking 4K footage immerses viewers in the beauty of the natural habitat as well as the high stakes these wild mammals face.”

Ludo Dufour, senior VP of international co-productions and sales at Blue Ant International, said: “We’re looking forward to making this premium specialist-factual content available to broadcasters worldwide. The series provides an up-close look at the urgent threat to wildlife, while also giving viewers heartwarming stories that inspire hope.”
