Love Nature 4K has greenlit the blue-chip natural-history project America’s Wild Border and set a premiere date for America’s Wild Seasons.

Capturing the dramatic stories of survival amid North America’s four seasons, America’s Wild Seasons is set to launch in Canada in November, followed by 42 territories in EMEA, Asia and Latin America in December. It will premiere in the U.S. on Smithsonian Channel in 2020. America’s Wild Border, a special bonus episode that is currently in production, continues the exploration of the unique environments and conditions along the 5,525-mile U.S./Canada border. Both projects are produced by Tamarin Productions and MBM TV in association with Smithsonian Channel, with Blue Ant International handling the licensing opportunities.

Carlyn Staudt, executive VP of Love Nature 4K, said: “Working with some of the best natural-history cinematographers in the world means we were able to capture incredible animal behavior in 4K. We want to bring viewers beautiful sequences of iconic America wildlife stories plus highlight some surprising behaviors. Both America’s Wild Seasons and America’s Wild Border are great examples of the high-end programs Love Nature 4K seeks out and commissions.”

Tria Thalman, executive producer of natural history for Smithsonian Networks, said: “This series allows us to tell the story of America’s wildlife that is as diverse as it is beautiful. Our viewers have a real appreciation for this country’s natural heritage and it’s exactly the type of programming that our audience will respond to for many years.”
