TORONTO: Boat Rocker Rights has taken on worldwide distribution for programs in Fox’s syndicated science block Xploration Station.

The pact includes Xploration Awesome Planet, hosted by Philippe Cousteau, grandson of the legendary Jacques Cousteau; Xploration DIY Sci, hosted by TV personality and science experimentalist Steve Spangler; and Xploration Nature Knows Best, hosted by marine biologist Danni Washington. Boat Rocker Rights will control the rights for seasons one and two of the new series DIY Sci and Nature Knows Best, and seasons three and four of the returning series Awesome Planet and Outer Space. Each series contains 26 episodes, running 30 minutes each, for a total of 104 new episodes. Boat Rocker will represent all rights for all media in territories worldwide, excluding the U.S.

“The Xploration Station block is not only an entertaining experience, but is quickly becoming the definitive brand of science-themed content across U.S. and international television,” said Jon Rutherford, the president of distribution at Boat Rocker Rights. “Steve Rotfeld and his team are producing as much, if not more, premium science-related content than any other entity in the U.S., and we are excited to continue showcasing their exceptional work to audiences around the globe.”

“I couldn’t be happier to work with Jon Rutherford and Boat Rocker,” said Steve Rotfeld, the president of Steve Rotfeld Productions. “They understand the worldwide marketplace for our science content, and are the perfect company to take Xploration Station to even higher levels.”
