BBC Studios Names Director of Production, Fact Ent & Events


Naomi Carter has been appointed BBC Studios Productions’ director of production for factual entertainment and events.

In this newly created role, Carter will lead BBC Studios Productions’ production and business teams in developing, winning and producing commissions. Further, she will help define and deliver the commercial strategy to grow the business and maximize the value it returns to the BBC. Carter will report to Hannah Wyatt, managing director of factual entertainment and events.

Carter joins BBC Studios Productions from Tinopolis, where she served as the COO. She was previously the director of production at Mentorn Media and Firecracker Films, and the head of production at Mentorn Media, overseeing a number of factual, factual-entertainment and entertainment shows. She also held past roles at Endemol and Planet 24.

Wyatt said: “I am delighted Naomi is joining BBC Studios Factual Entertainment and Events. She has a strong track record of ensuring programs look fantastic on screen and deliver commercial value—she’ll be a brilliant addition to the team.”
