back2back Productions has received an investment from UKTV to produce its new eight-part series Ultimate Movers, and has also named Stef Wagstaffe to the role of development executive.

Ultimate Movers, which delves into the U.K.’s multibillion-dollar delivery industry, is slated for release later this year on UKTV’s Dave channel and will be executive produced by back2back Founder David Notman-Watt with Luke Hales, Dave’s channel director, and Daniel Thomas for UKTV. Ultimate Movers is the latest in returning back2back franchises—following Mega Shippers, Mega Air and Scrap Kings—that take viewers behind the scenes of businesses across the U.K., Europe and the U.S.

Wagstaffe, who was previously a commissioner at Channel 4, is the fourth creative executive to join back2back’s development team in the past six months, following Anna Boronat, Claire Hamilton and Mitzi David. Now led by Wagstaffe, the team has more than 60 hours of both new and returning programming currently in production.

Wagstaffe said: “It’s a brilliant opportunity to be joining back2back at such an exciting moment in its history. The company has the drive, the team and the infrastructure—and I’m here to generate projects to build on the excellent work already being done.”

Notman-Watt added: “Stef’s extensive track record and experience on both sides of the Atlantic is a hugely important hire for back2back. We as a company are continuing to pursue our growth strategy by establishing returning franchises, such as Ultimate Movers, on both digital and terrestrial platforms here and abroad.”
