Animal Planet’s Pit Bulls & Parolees Celebrates 200 Episodes

Animal Planet’s long-running series Pit Bulls & Parolees, produced by the Red Arrow Studios company 44 Blue Productions, has reached the milestone of 200 episodes.

The 200th episode, now airing on Animal Planet and discovery+, sees Tia Torres and her family take a look back at what they have accomplished over 30 years of animal rescue, breaking down stereotypes of both pit bulls and individuals who have been released from the prison system. Pit Bulls & Parolees follows Torres’s work at the New Orleans-based Villalobos Rescue Center.

Rasha Drachkovitch, executive producer of Pit Bulls & Parolees and co-CEO and co-founder of 44 Blue Productions, said: “Never in my wildest dreams did I think we’d be producing a 200th episode and still going strong. This is an incredible television milestone, as the episode looks back on the most memorable moments from the past decade—and it’s quite a ride. Also, season 17 is unique in covering how Villalobos has been impacted by COVID-19, and the incredible ways Tia and her family have managed through the crisis.”

Pit Bulls & Parolees is produced for Animal Planet by 44 Blue Productions, a Red Arrow Studios company, and Rive Gauche Television.
