Warner Bros. Discovery UK & Ireland has unveiled a slate of new commissions comprising over 70 hours, including new series for its linear channels and discovery+.

Among the new linear series, Guz Khan’s Custom Cars (w.t.) will see car enthusiast Guz Khan attempt to modify his own car and embark on a journey to discover unconventional automobiles as inspiration. Ricochet is producing the eight-part series for Quest.

CPL Productions is producing an adaptation of Liquidminds and Primitives’ format Zero Stars with comedians Roisin Conaty and Sara Pascoe. The two will journey across the globe, staying, eating and experiencing places with only the funniest and worst reviews.

Rav Gill’s Chop House, a ten-part series for Food Network, will see pastry chef and presenter Ravneet Gill and her husband Mattie open their first restaurant, entirely self-funded and built from scratch. Produced by Yeti Television and set to air later this year, the couple will juggle renovations, recipe testing, menu writing and team building while trying to stay sane.

James May will return to the screen for James May’s Shed Load of Ideas (w.t.) from Plum Pictures. In his Wiltshire workshop, he will tackle problems like everyday annoyances that bother Brits everywhere and offer life hacks and repairs. It will air on Quest.

Also coming to Quest, Outback Opal Hunters will return for a ninth season. The Prospero-produced series will continue to follow the Outback Opal Hunters as they buy big to build new opal empires.

The Kim Kardashian Heist (w.t.) will be coming to discovery+ in September. From Wall to Wall Media, the three-part series will delve into the chain of events surrounding the 2016 $6 million robbery of Kim Kardashian.

Returning on discovery+ will be Vinnie Jones in the Country. The Objective Entertainment-produced series will see the diggers, whose planning has finally been approved for their Lakehouse renovation, begin construction on a build.

Celebrity Help! My House is Haunted, from Back2back Productions, will be returning for a fifth season on discovery+ in November, featuring Nancy Dell’Olio, Gary Numan, Suzanne Shaw, Beverly Callard, Simon Weston and Antony Cotton. Psychic medium Ian Lawman, tech expert Barri Ghai and investigator Jayne Harris will dig into the history of the celebrities’ haunted homes to uncover the dark pasts that might be impacting the hauntings. American paranormal investigator Katrina Weidman will also join the team for the new season.

For the Discovery Channel, Mike Brewer and Marc “Elvis” Presley come back for a second season of Wheeler Dealers World Tour, produced by All3Media’s North One and Objective Entertainment. The pair will travel from the streets of Latin America to the scenic routes of Eastern Europe.

Graham Lafferty, senior VP of content strategy and networks at WBD UK & Ireland, said, “With all eyes on one of the most intriguing true crime stories in recent years, we’re pleased to work with Wall to Wall on The Kim Kardashian Heist. With firsthand and exclusive testimony from those closest to the heist, including concierge Abderrahmane Ouatiki, this documentary dives deep into new aspects of the case and is a must-watch on discovery+.

“Within this 70-plus-hours bumper slate, we’re also pleased to announce a collection of new linear commissions featuring a strong lineup of British TV personalities, including the fabulous duo of comedians Roisin Conaty and Sara Pascoe exploring the lowest-rated hotels, restaurants and experiences in Zero Stars; Rav Gill setting up a culinary business venture in Rav Gill’s Chop House; and TV’s funny man and car-modification-guru Guz Khan in Guz Khan’s Custom Cars.

“These new series will join a lineup of much-loved returners across discovery+ and our linear channels with James May’s Shed Load of Ideas (w.t.), Vinnie Jones in the Country, Wheeler Dealers World Tour, Outback Opal Hunters and Celebrity Help! My House is Haunted.’’
