National Geographics Lead Wildscreen Panda Nominations

National Geographic has scored a record 14 nominations at Wildscreen’s Panda Awards recognizing the best in natural history storytelling.

Nat Geo secured nods across nine of the 17 award categories, dominating the series category with season two of A Real Bug’s Life (Plimsoll Productions), Secrets of the Penguins (Talesmith) and OceanXplorers (co-produced by BBC Studios Natural History Unit and OceanX).

Silverback Films scored the most nods for a single production company with seven nominations, including five for Ocean with David Attenborough.

Underdogs, A Real Bug’s Life and The Birds each landed three nominations.

The competition received 682 entries from 46 countries. The Panda Awards run alongside a new Wildscreen Industry Summit in Bristol and online, running from October 20 to 22.
