Attaboy TV to Tackle Gatwick Drone Attack

Attaboy TV, a London- and Yorkshire-based indie, is to make an episode for the BBC’s Panorama current affairs strand about last December’s drone attack at the U.K.’s Gatwick Airport.

Titled The Gatwick Drone Attack, the program will investigate what transpired during the Gatwick drone attack in which more than 1,000 flights and 140,000 people were affected. Reporter Justin Rowlatt will lead the investigation into the dangers posed by drones and speak with industry insiders to give a detailed account of the incident. The 30-minute program also will ask if similar attacks could be prevented in the future and what the chances are of a more devastating attack taking place.

The Gatwick Drone Attack will air in the usual Panorama Monday night slot at 8:30 p.m. on BBC One on April 15. Silverlining Rights is handling pre-sales and distribution outside of the U.K. for an extended one-hour international version titled Drones: Out of Control, which will contain additional in-depth insights and reports on international incidents.
