Taboos Without Taboo, a Hungarian documentary series from AMC Networks International—Central and Northern Europe (AMCNI CNE), is now available in North America on Amazon Prime Video.

A six-part one-hour series, Taboos Without Taboo investigates a range of taboo topics through personal stories. Death, mourning, addictions and hidden family secrets and other topics are explored over the docuseries’ six hours. Commissioned by AMCNI CNE’s factual-entertainment channel Spektrum, it premiered successfully in Hungary, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Taboos Without Taboo, which is produced by the Budapest-based Advanced Communication Group and distributed overseas by AMC Studios, has been renewed for a second season.

Levente Málnay, executive VP and managing director of AMCNI CNE, said: “We’re proud to partner with AMC Studios and Amazon Prime Video to enable audiences in North America to watch one of our most acclaimed original series, the first-ever Hungarian factual production to be made available on this platform. This series highlights the strength of Spektrum’s exclusive documentary series, which continue to garner critical acclaim, strong viewership and industry recognition for their outstanding production values and compelling subject matter. We’re looking forward to the new season, which is in production in Budapest and will premiere later this year.”
