Pasiones Picks Up Caracol’s Football Dreams

MIAMI: Telenovela network Pasiones has picked up the Latin American rights for Caracol Televisión’s Football Dreams (La Selección) for a weekday time slot.

The drama narrates the hectic lives of four legendary professional soccer players from the Colombian National Soccer Team, uncovering the personal struggles and sacrifices each had to overcome to become superstar athletes. The novela originally aired in Colombia in 2013. It will now be broadcast across the region on Pasiones Latin America.

“Soccer is a huge passion throughout Latin America, and we are thrilled to bring the excitement of this highly successful soccer novela to our viewers in these markets,” said Francisco Gimenez, the general manager of networks for Hemisphere Media Group, Pasiones’ parent company. “We are confident that La Selección will be an enormous hit among our Latin American audiences.”
