Globo’s Side by Side Debuts in Costa Rica

SÃO PAULO: Globo’s International Emmy-winning telenovela Side by Side has landed in Costa Rica, airing on the Teletica network.

The Brazilian novela premiered July 28 and airs in the 1:20 p.m. time slot. It tells the story of two women from different origins and social classes who seek freedom at the start of the 20th century. The program replaces another Brazilian title, Sparkling Girls.

Side by Side won the 2013 International Emmy for best telenovela. It’s aired in Portugal, and is currently being broadcast in Armenia and the U.S., both during prime time.
