Globo to Showcase Caribbean Flower and Side by Side at NATPE

SÃO PAULO: Globo is set to present Caribbean Flower and Side by Side, two of its most popular telenovelas, at this year’s NATPE in Miami.

Caribbean Flower, a 120×45-minute series created by Walter Negrão, tells the love story between a fighter pilot (Henri Castelli), a tour guide (Grazi Massafera) and the treacherous friend (Igor Rickli) who gets in the way of their romance. The show has already aired in Brazil, where it attained 25 rating points and 50 percent of the share.

The Brazilian distributor will also showcase Side by Side, a 105×45-minute historical drama that featured lavish sets and several hundred extras. It stars Camila Pitanga as the daughter of an ex-slave in love with a capoeira practitioner (Lázaro Ramos), and Marjorie Estiano as an heiress destined for an arranged marriage. The program averaged 23 rating points and 51 percent participation during its initial run.
