SPI International Continues to Expand Reach in Africa

WARSAW: SPI International is launching six of its thematic channels on TNT SAT Africa.

The FilmBox brand channels set to roll out on the Mali-based DTH platform are FilmBox Africa, FilmBox Arthouse, Fast&FunBox, FashionBox, DocuBox and MadscreenBox. Of the six channels, FilmBox Africa, FilmBox Arthouse, DocuBox and MadscreenBox are being localized in the French language.

TNT SAT subscribers will have access to a range of programming, including BBC dramas such as The Musketeers and Doctor Who, as well as international films, extreme sports content and more.

“As we expand our distribution footprint in Africa we are glad to bring FilmBox channels to the subscribers of TNT SAT Africa,” said Amit Karni, SPI International’s head of sales for Africa. “With the four channels localized in French we are looking forward to attracting more French-speaking viewers throughout Sub-Saharan Africa.”
