OSN & CNBC Renew Carriage Pact

LONDON: CNBC and OSN have renewed their channel distribution deal, which now also includes online viewing.

The CNBC business news channel will remain on the OSN pay-TV platform in the Middle East and North Africa. The long-term pact also provides OSN viewers with anytime access to CNBC content via the online service OSN Play.

Emad Marcos, the senior VP of media partners and digital at OSN, said: “Our priority is to provide the largest breadth of premium content that meets all requirements from our subscribers. Having built our credentials as the home of premium entertainment, we have built a strong news portfolio in which CNBC has a central position. By adding CNBC content to OSN Play in the near future, our subscribers will soon also have the opportunity to stay connected with the international business world on-the-go and anytime, anywhere.”

Jacqueline Lam, the VP of international distribution at CNBC, commented: “Our agreement with OSN enables viewers across the MENA to watch the latest global business news and analysis, and access CNBC’s real-time data. This cements CNBC’s position as the premier provider of English-language business programming in the region.”
