John Penney Joins STARZ Play Arabia Board

DUBAI: The on-demand video streaming service STARZ Play Arabia has appointed John Penney, Starz’s chief strategy officer, as chairman of its board of directors.

In his new role, Penney will oversee the board and management of STARZ Play Arabia, which is available in 17 territories across the MENA region. He will offer advice and counsel to the president, while ensuring that the company’s directors are able to make informed decisions to support the business.

Penney will also continue to serve as chief strategy officer of Starz, a role he took up in 2013 after joining the company in 2010.
