BBC Worldwide Secures Package Deal with Showmax in Africa

BBC Worldwide has inked a package agreement for more than 150 hours of natural history, drama and factual-entertainment programming with the African SVOD service Showmax.

The programming will be available to Showmax subscribers in 36 countries across the African continent. Some of the shows covered in the deal are Planet Earth II, seasons four through six of Call the Midwife, the first two seasons of The Durrells, The Collection and the first two seasons of Special Forces: Ultimate Hell Week.

BBC Worldwide has a deep catalog of premium content, which we can offer across all platforms to ensure African audiences can view our world-class content whenever and wherever they choose.”
