PARIS: Manuel Abud, the president and CEO of Azteca America, and John Farrell, director of YouTube Latinoamérica, have been confirmed as the first two keynote speakers at this year’s MIPCancun.

Abud will share his vision on the development of Hispanic content production and discuss how to create programming that drives ratings growth while incorporating innovative strategic advertising partnerships. Farrell, meanwhile, will take the MIPCancun stage to discuss how to bridge traditional content to online distribution and build highly engaged, passionate fan communities through strategic partnerships with brands and YouTube creators.

The third edition of the market will take place in Mexico from November 16 to 18. This year’s event has added two new summits: the Creative Summit, a think-tank featuring an exclusive lineup of content creators and programming executives, and the Digital Minds Summit, bringing together heads of digital strategy from the main broadcasters in the region with OTT platforms, digital studios and online content networks.

“The launch of the Digital Minds Summit and the Creative Summit will give unprecedented insight into the future of TV in Latin America, and we are delighted to announce the participation of Manuel Abud and John Farrell as keynote speakers,” said Ted Baracos, the director of market development at event organizer Reed MIDEM. “Their knowledge and experience in the Latin American and U.S. Hispanic markets will be of huge value to participants wishing to grow their businesses there.”
