VIMN The Americas Makes New Hire for MTV Latin America

MIAMI: Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) The Americas has named Maria Iregui brand manager and senior VP of programming and production for MTV Latin America.

In her new role, Iregui is responsible for managing the content and creative for the youth brand in the region. She is replacing Fernando Gaston, former brand manager of MTV Latin America and Tr3s and senior VP of programming and production, who has resigned for personal reasons. She will work under Sofia Ioannou, the managing director of VIMN The Americas.

A veteran U.S. television executive, Iregui previously served as VP of programming for Telemundo Networks. Before that, she held a number of senior management roles at Caracol Television, including VP of content distribution and VP of marketing.

“Iregui is a highly knowledgeable, consumer-focused executive with market expertise and versatile experience in content, marketing and digital needed to drive sustainable and long-term growth for MTV,” said Ioannou. “I’d like to thank Fernando for his valuable contributions to the company over the years and wish him well in his future endeavors.”
