Venevision Productions Finishes New Drama Criminal MasterMind

MIAMI: Venevision Productions, a Cisneros Media company, has wrapped up production on its new teleseries, Criminal MasterMind (DeMente Criminal).

Based on journalist Ybeyise Pacheco’s book Blood on the Couch (Sangre en el Diván), the drama tells the true-life story of a distinguished psychiatrist who was exposed by the law as an abusive monster and cold-blooded murderer. Sebastian Ligarde plays the doctor, with Lorena Rojas as the mother of one of his victims who is searching for evidence to prove the doctor’s guilt.

“We are more than satisfied with the final product,” stated Juan Carlos Sosa, the executive VP of operations at Venevision Studios. “We have only words of appreciation and admiration for the great production team and cast who contributed to this project during these past five months and who worked so hard on bringing this story, which is based on real events and people, to life.”
