Univision News Names SVP of Content Innovation

MIAMI: Keith Summa has been named senior VP of content innovation at Univision News, a post set to ramp up the development of new journalistic tools on different platforms for the news division of U.S. Latino media giant Univision Communications Inc. (UCI).

Summa will report directly to Isaac Lee, the president of news and digital for UCI and CEO of Fusion. In his new role, the executive will spearhead the exploration and development of innovative journalistic tools, models and narratives. He will also be charged with experimenting with new platforms and storytelling formats to produce quality reporting that will increase the engagement of Univision News’ existing audience while broadening the division’s reach of tech-savvy news consumers. In addition, Summa will work closely with the ABC-Univision joint venture Fusion.

Prior to this appointment, Summa was VP of news partnerships for Univision News, in charge of developing journalistic alliances for UCI’s news division as well as supporting and expanding the culture of investigative and enterprise reporting in both Univision and Fusion.
