Univision Gears Up for Launch of UniMás

MIAMI: Univision’s new UniMás network, formerly known as TeleFutura, kicks off on January 7 with the premiere of two prime-time series, Made in Cartagena and Who Are You (Quién Eres Tú).

The network launches on January 7 at 9 p.m. and promises to deliver "a bolder, edgier programming alternative to Hispanic audiences" across the U.S., with a special target on millennials. Content is coming from producers such as Caracol TV International, RTI Productions and Televisa.

The launch slate features Made in Cartagena, a crime drama from Caracol TV starring Miguel de Miguel (La Reina del Sur), Carmen Villalobos (Sin Senos No Hay Paraíso) and Fernando Solórzano (Muñecas de la Mafia). The show premieres at 9 p.m. Following in the 10 p.m. hour on the day of the launch is Who Are You, an original production from RTI Productions for UniMás. The dramatic thriller stars Laura Carmine (Amor Bravío) and Julián Gil (La Que No Podía Amar).
