TV Latina Reveals Details of its Inaugural Streaming Festival

TV Latina has unveiled the agenda for its inaugural Streaming Festival, a three-day event that will feature leading media executives discussing the growth and expansion of OTT in Latin America, the importance of local and original content, the competitive landscape and more.

The Spanish-language event kicks off on Tuesday, November 10, at 10 a.m. (EST), with Diego Lerner, the president at The Walt Disney Company Latin America. He will talk about the efforts behind the upcoming Disney+ launch in the region, the expectations for the arrival of the service in the region and additional digital initiatives to expand the distribution of Disney+.

The same day at 12 p.m., Pablo Iacoviello, content director for Latin America at Amazon Prime Video, will analyze factors that have boosted the platform’s service in the region, as well as the evolution of the platform in Latin America, among other topics.

The Festival continues on Wednesday, November 11, at 10 a.m. with Francisco Ramos, the VP of original content for Latin America at Netflix, who will talk about the presence of the streaming giant in the region, the role of Netflix as content consumption grows regardless of language, differentiating elements of the platform, development of local and original productions, as well as upcoming projects.

Later at 12 p.m., Enrique R. Martínez, the president of the board of directors of Consejo Latinoamericano de Publicidad en Medios (LAMAC), will speak about the media landscape in Latin America, the synergies between premium video and OTT and pay-TV channels that look to remain current and relevant, among other issues.

TV Latina‘s inaugural Streaming Festival continues on Thursday, November 12, with Marco Nobili, senior VP of marketing for the streaming division at ViacomCBS Networks International, at 10 a.m. The executive will talk about the preparations for CBS All Access in Latin America, offerings from Paramount+, Noggin and Pluto TV, and the importance of Brazil in the company’s strategies.

The event will conclude at 12 p.m. with Alejandro Rojas, director of applied analytics at Parrot Analytics, who will talk about the company’s mission, the types of services provided and the coexistence between pay TV and OTTs, as well as trends in the region.
