Telemundo & NBC Universo Spotlight Mexican Singer Gerardo Ortí­z

MIAMI: Telemundo and NBC Universo have slated early-January premieres for specials featuring Mexican singer Gerardo Ortíz.

On January 2, Telemundo will debut Ortíz’s concert film Como un Sueño (Like a Dream), while NBC Universo will begin airing the docuseries Gerardo Ortíz: Sin Censura the following day. The four-part, hour-long series will conclude on January 24 and offer a behind-the-scenes look at the singer, who specializes in ballads and the traditional song form known as “corrido.”

“I am excited that Telemundo and NBC Universo will broadcast my film and docuseries to a new audience,” Ortíz said. “Viewers will discover a side of me they’ve never seen before and get an even more in-depth look at my career through the docuseries.”
