NBC Universo to Air El Salvador vs. Curacao World Cup Qualifiers

MIAMI: U.S. Hispanic network NBC Universo has secured the rights for the third leg of the upcoming CONCACAF FIFA World Cup Russia 2018 qualifying matches featuring El Salvador and Curacao.

The rights are for the home and away games, with the first of the two matches airing live on September 4. The second game is scheduled to take place September 8. Andrés Cantor and sportscaster Copan Alvarez will provide commentary for the first game, with Sammy Sadovnik joining Alvarez for the second call.

Curacao, which joined the FIFA family in 2011, made its FIFA World Cup qualifying debut in last year’s campaign, going out in the second round. The team has never qualified for a World Cup.
