Hernán Takes Center Stage at MIP Cancun

MIP Cancun will host a case study on the new historical series Hernán featuring Dopamine CEO Fidela Navarro, showrunners Julián de Tavira and Curro Royo and HISTORY Latin America’s Miguel Brailovsky, in conversation with Elizabeth Bowen-Tombari, the editor of TV Latina.

The panel Ficción histórica: Hernán, un caso de estudio, will be held on Wednesday, November 20, at 5:20 p.m. at the Cancun Theater of the Moon Palace Resort.

Slated for an eight-episode season, Hernán is set in 1519 and tells the story of the conquest of Mexico from the perspective of each of the adventure’s protagonists. Created, developed and produced by the Mexican production studio Dopamine in collaboration with the Spanish producer Onza Entertainment, it stars Óscar Jaenada in the role of the conquistador; Michel Brown, Dagoberto Gama, Jorge Guerrero, Víctor Clavijo, Almagro San Miguel and Ishbel Bautista in her debut role.

Amazon Prime Video will launch the series on Thursday, November 21. It will debut the following day on HISTORY Latin America and on Azteca 7 (TV Azteca) on Sunday, November 24.
