SÃO PAULO: Bolivian network ATB has launched a prime-time slot dedicated solely to telenovelas from Brazil’s Globo following a long-term agreement between the two companies.

The first title to premiere in the dedicated space was Brave Woman, which debuted March 30. The novela tells the story of Morena (Nanda Costa), a young victim of human trafficking. The agreement also provides for the broadcast of five feature films by Globo Filmes every year.

Besides the recent ATB deal, the Brazilian broadcaster has agreements with RCN (Colombia), Telefe (Argentina), Teledoce (Uruguay) and Canal 13 (Chile), among others.
