Globo Secures Deal with Cable Peru

SÃO PAULO/LIMA: Globo is expanding its reach in Peru through a new agreement with Cable Peru.

The deal will see Cable Peru air Globo’s telenovelas, series, news and sports content for Peruvian audiences. Globo’s content also airs in the country on Claro, DirecTV, Movistar and Cable Star.

Cable Peru operates in the northern district of Lima and carries more than 80 channels, including both national and international networks, as part of its lineup. Globo’s international feeds are the first Brazilian channels to be broadcast to the Brazilian and Portuguese-speaking audience abroad in digital quality 24 hours a day. There are currently seven pay-TV channels and more than 3 million subscribers worldwide.
