Jugar con Fuego, a co-production from Globo and Telemundo International Studios, has been launched to the market at NATPE.

An adaptation of the Brazilian series Doomed, Jugar con Fuego follows Fabrizio, an attractive man who arrives at a prosperous Colombian coffee region and enters the lives of three women: Camila and Martina, who are both married and are great friends, and Andrea, Martina’s daughter. He shakes everyone’s lives to the core in a terrible and permanent way. Filmed in Colombia, the limited series has ten episodes.

The co-production is directed by Mafer Suárez and Riccardo Gabrielli, with cinematography direction by Carlos Hidalgo and Andrés García. The concept of the adaptation was conceived by Marcos Santana and adapted by Julia Montejo and Jose Luis Acosta. The Brazilian version, Doomed, aired on Globo in Brazil in 2014.

Raphael Corrêa Netto, the head of international business at Globo, said: “The co-production with Telemundo International Studios is very exciting because we believe that good partnerships bring fresh air to the creative process and make the work more dynamic. We will continue to bet on new production and business models that take advantage of our experience in the international market and our creative power.”

“Telemundo is focused on redefining Hispanic media by innovating and creating the highest quality original content,” said Marcos Santana, president of Telemundo Global Studios and Telemundo International. “Globo is the perfect partner as we continue to set a new standard in scripted content for U.S. Hispanics and audiences around the world.”
