FilmBox Channels Launch in Spanish & Portuguese

WARSAW: SPI International’s FilmBox portfolio of channels for Latin America will now include channels in Spanish and Portuguese.

The bouquet of networks presented to the region includes two sports networks (FightBox and Fast&FunBox); a music channel aimed at young, urban middle-class adults (360 TuneBox); the documentary feed DocuBox; and FashionBox, a fashion and lifestyle channel. Meanwhile, FilmBox Arthouse presents independent films, MadscreenBox offers gaming content and FunBox 4K/UHD showcases native 4K content.

The Spanish and Portuguese language pack in the SPI/FilmBox portfolio features FightBox HD, Fast&FunBoxHD, FilmBox Arthouse, DocuBox HD and MadscreenBox.

“Our programming offer is very diverse as it caters to various audiences; the content is first class with an international flavor that makes programming an excellent alternative,” said Gustavo Monaco, SPI’s director of distribution for Latin America and North America. “SPI also offers the possibility of linear TV and VOD content for both traditional distribution channels and new platforms.”

He added: “We also offer live streams of our channels via FilmBox Live, a multiscreen SVOD platform that works on iOS, Android and Windows 8, as well as game consoles and Web TV. FilmBox Live complements the nonlinear offer of any pay-TV operator, mobile or internet TV provider.”
