Cisneros Media Distribution & DIRECTV Pact for Miss Venezuela Special

MIAMI/CARACAS: Cisneros Media Distribution (CMD) and DIRECTV Latin America are teaming up to co-produce Miss V, Backstage (Miss V, Tras Bastidores), a two-hour special about the training behind the Miss Venezuela beauty pageant.

Hosted by Gabriela Isler, Miss Universe 2013, the special will air via OnDIRECTV October 1 ahead of the Miss Venezuela gala, which will be held October 8. After it airs on OnDIRECTV, the special will be available on DIRECTV Play to be watched on any device at any time.

“We are pleased to work with DIRECTV on this special that will be of great interest to television audiences throughout Latin America, particularly Latin women, as it will offer a wide range of topics, from those directly related to beauty, to the social responsibility commitments undertaken by a beauty queen,” stated Marcello Coltro, the executive VP of content distribution of Cisneros Media. “DIRECTV subscribers will discover the secrets behind the look and grace of a beauty contestant; and who better than Gabriela Isler, a former Miss Venezuela and Miss Universe, to guide us through the entire process.”
