MIAMI: Cesar Diaz, previously the VP of Cisneros Media Distribution, has set up his own distribution outfit, 7A Media, a new company based in Miami dedicated to content development, international sales and consulting.

The new company will deploy a strategy divided in two main phases, focusing first on Latin America and then expanding into the international market.

“In my professional career I have had many opportunities and moments to share with many global customers,” said Diaz, who recently left his post as VP of sales at Cisneros Media Distribution, and who has a 40-year work history within various TV companies in Latin America. “Many of these clients have become friends and that is why this transition is very special to me.”

The new distributor will act as a consultant for both international organizations with an interest in entering the Latin American market and producers wanting to have a bigger presence abroad. Regarding this point, 7A Media has already signed a consulting agreement with a Canadian producer for its Spanish-language products destined for that region.

Another strategic point will be building a solid content catalogue for sale across all available platforms, including cable networks, pay TV, Internet, OTT, VOD, etc. To accomplish this, the company will focus on searching for content that is owned or necessary for the region.

Finally, 7A Media will seek to develop content businesses, establishing itself as a facilitator between the TV screen, producers and financiers, forging co-production businesses or similar projects that culminate in content that serves the local community and the international market.
