CBSSI Signs SVOD Deal for Latin America & Caribbean

LOS ANGELES: CBS Studios International (CBSSI) has inked a non-exclusive licensing pact to deliver programming to the Clarovideo SVOD service in Latin American and Caribbean markets starting in January 2014.

The agreement marks a first between the two companies. It includes hit CBS shows such as The Good Wife and CSI as well as Showtime programming, including Californication and Nurse Jackie.

“The quality and success of the CBS titles included in this agreement round off a robust content offering that gives Clarovideo subscribers access to a highly differentiated, quality product,” said Pablo Iacoviello, the director of Acquisitions at DLA, the Miami-based company that manages Clarovideo’s SVOD service.
                      
Armando Nuñez, the president and CEO of the CBS Global Distribution Group, said: “Our deal with Clarovideo offers CBS yet another opportunity to deliver its world-class content to Latin American and Caribbean audiences.”
