BBC HD Heads to Brazil

SÃO PAULO/LONDON: BBC Worldwide Channels has partnered with NET Serviços to launch its first dedicated channel in Brazil, BBC HD.

BBC HD will be available starting May 28 in NET Serviços’ Top HD package. The deal also includes a branded VOD service pact, which will provide content from BBC Entertainment and the preschool channel CBeebies.

Brazilian viewers will now get BBC programs in 100 percent high definition, including the exclusive premieres of Top Gear and Sherlock. The summer lineup also includes the London Calling programming stunt, as well as Planet Earth Live.
