Kew Media Inks Slew of Deals in Latin America

Kew Media Distribution has signed deals in Latin America with DirecTV, SundanceTV and Globosat for more than 100 hours of programming that includes feature film Painkillers and documentary Harry and Meghan: A Very Modern Romance.

DirecTV has also acquired from Kew Media Distribution Active Measures, a feature documentary that chronicles a Russian espionage operation during the 2016 presidential election in the U.S.; Divide and Conquer: The Story of Roger Ailes, a documentary about the titular Fox News founder; Becoming Bond, a 95-minute doc on George Lazenby’s rise to fame; On Her Majesty’s Secret Service; and nonfiction series The Radical Story of Patty Hearst.

AMC Networks-owned SundanceTV picked up 24 titles, including 96 minutes, a thriller about four young people caught up in a car-jacking; comedy feature The Comedian’s Guide to Survival; and the feature documentaries Teddy Pendergrass: If You Don’t Know Me and Nothing Like a Dame, the latter of which features screen icons Eileen Atkins, Judi Dench, Joan Plowright and Maggie Smith.

To Globosat, Kew Media sold documentaries The Beatles: Made on Merseyside, Cosplay Universe and Hip-Hop Evolution, a nonfiction miniseries hosted by Shad Kabango.
