MEXICO CITY: Mexico’s Televisa has launched an SVOD hub for Latin America stocked with Spanish-language programming.

Titled blim, the service will feature Televisa productions, along with titles acquired from regional and international distributors. The digital platform will also showcase original series, plus telenovelas, classic Mexican films, blockbuster movies and a variety of kids’ content.

Among the titles launching with the site are Televisa’s recent El hotel de los secretos, a remake of the Spanish drama Gran Hotel; international series such as Isabel and Wayward Pines; and films such as Eugenio Derbez’s Instructions Not Included and the entire James Bond library.

The content will be offered in the production’s original language with a Spanish-dub option, as well as subtitle capabilities. Audiences across Latin America can access blim via smartphones, tablets and smart TVs through iOS and Android.

“Our partnerships and content have no equal among current [digital] options, which is why any user who accesses the service will find a great variety of titles that cannot be found anywhere else,” said Carlos Sandoval, general director of blim. “Without a doubt, blim will be the preferred online-entertainment option for audiences in Mexico and Latin America.”
