ESPN Brazil Renews Premier League Rights

SÃO PAULO: ESPN Brazil has signed a new deal, running from 2013 to 2016, to continue its coverage of English Premier League soccer, which it has aired in the country since 2003.

The new pact encompasses coverage on ESPN, ESPN Brasil, ESPN+ and ESPN Brasil HD, as well as WatchESPN and ESPN.com.br. “This new agreement allows us to continue our tradition, begun in 2003, of covering the event on location and with expert on-air journalists," said Germán Hartenstein, general manager of ESPN Brazil. "ESPN is committed to bringing Brazilian football fans one of the best and most contested championships in the world,”

ESPN in Brazil also has the rights to UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League, as well as domestic action from Spain, Germany, France, the Netherlands and Portugal, among others.
