SYDNEY: Turner’s Cartoon Network and Boomerang have become available this month on the Australian IPTV service Fetch TV.

Cartoon Network’s Asia Pacific offerings include the hit animated series Ben 10 and The Powerpuff Girls, as well as the new show Mighty Magiswords. Boomerang features such popular programming as Mr Bean, Inspector Gadget and Looney Tunes.

This deal comes on the heels of Turner’s news channel CNN International launching on Fetch TV late last year. The IPTV service is available via ISPs, including Optus, iiNet, Dodo, Internode and iPrimus, and through such retailers as Harvey Norman and JB-HiFi.

“Fetch families are going to love this news,” said Robi Stanton, the general manager of Turner for Australia, New Zealand and Pacific territories. “With Boomerang and Cartoon Network added to the lineup, subscribers now have access to the best animation from around the world. Both channels feature characters designed with one purpose in mind—to make everyone laugh.”

Scott Lorson, the CEO of Fetch TV, added: “Fetch is thrilled to reach a partnership agreement with Turner, and with the three fantastic additions to our channel offering—CNN, Cartoon Network and Boomerang. We will continue to partner with world-class content channel partners like Turner to bring Fetch TV subscribers the very best in entertainment. Plenty more to come.”
