ACTF Secures Broadcast Deals Worldwide

MELBOURNE: The Australian Children’s Television Foundation’s (ACTF) international sales team has closed several deals with broadcasters across the globe, including one for Balloon Barnyard with SVT Sweden.

Produced by Like a Photon Creative, Balloon Barnyard is an animated preschool series about Pip and Streak, two everyday donkeys with superhero ambitions. The series is currently in production, due to be completed in early March. SVT Sweden also picked up Ready for This, produced as a joint venture by Blackfella Films and Werner Film Productions. The show follows six teens who arrive at Arcadia House in Sydney to follow their dreams.

In addition, U.K.-based VOD platform Azoomee acquired the factual comedy series Wacky World Beaters, seasons two and three of the adventure series Bushwhacked!, the third season of the sketch comedy show You’re Skitting Me, the live-action drama My Place and the short-form program My Strange Pet. In Latin America, VME TV licensed a package of programs through ACTF’s LatAm distributor Televix Entertainment. The package includes the live-action preschool comedy series hoopla doopla!, the short-form series Mega Bites, Wacky World Beaters, and the second and third seasons of Bushwhacked!

In Asia, the comedy series Worst Year of My Life, Again! was picked up by VietContent in Vietnam. Australia Plus TV licensed the award-winning show Round the Twist, which will be broadcast in 44 countries across the Asia Pacific and the Indian subcontinent. Global Eagle Entertainment, meanwhile, picked up a package of titles for Emirates Inflight Entertainment, including the award-winning live-action comedy series Little Lunch and new episodes from the third season of You’re Skitting Me.
