Netflix Acquires Crazy Fun Park in Australia

Netflix has picked up the comedy horror series Crazy Fun Park in Australia from the Australian Children’s Television Foundation (ACTF).

Crazy Fun Park is fun, moving, riveting and life affirming—a rollicking ride for tween and teen viewers,” said Bernadette O’Mahony, head of content at the ACTF. “Set in the extraordinary and visually stunning world of a haunted theme park, this series explores friendship and grief in a clever and unique way, a coming-of-age story that is sure to resonate with Netflix viewers.”

Produced by Werner Film Productions for the ABC, the series tells the story of Chester, a teenage boy whose life is turned upside down following the death of his best friend at an abandoned theme park. Chester discovers that his friend’s soul is still alive at the park, so he returns night after night.

The series will launch on Netflix for Australian subscribers on April 1.
