Sprout Appoints Brand Marketing VP

NEW YORK: Sprout, NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment’s 24-hour preschool network, has named Kristen Campolattaro as its VP of brand marketing.

In her new role, Campolattaro will guide the channel’s brand marketing and develop innovative strategies to shape and inform all brand and marketing creative, positioning and key messaging. She will serve as the lead authority and promoter of the Sprout brand. She will work under Jennifer Giddens, the VP of marketing and digital, with whom she will set brand marketing and digital/social plans and strategy.

Campolattaro will also partner with the communications, programming and finance teams to make sure that each campaign strategy is accurately represented and effective, while working with research to identify audience targets, platform opportunities and key consumer takeaways.

Prior to this appointment, Campolattaro founded Brandavore, a brand strategy and marketing consulting firm, in 2013. She is also an adjunct professor at Columbia University for the Masters Program in Strategic Communications. Earlier in her career, she was the head of brand strategy and social media for Barnes & Noble’s NOOK.
