ABC Commercial has inked new multiyear broadcast deals that see The Wiggles programming headed to NBCUniversal’s Sprout/Universal Kids network in the U.S. and Corus Entertainment’s Treehouse in Canada.

The agreements involve the broadcast rights to a variety of content featuring the Aussie children’s entertainment group, including both seasons of the show Ready, Steady, Wiggle! and the upcoming series Wiggle Wiggle Wiggle. The channels will also have the exclusive rights to a number of studio-recorded specials from The Wiggles’ back-catalog such as The Wiggles Meet the Orchestra, Taking Off!, Rock and Roll Preschool, Apples & Bananas and more, totaling 60 hours of programming on each network.

“Emma, Lachy, Simon and Anthony are all excited to bring The Wiggles music, stories and characters to a wider audience across North America,” said Paul Field, the managing director of The Wiggles. “Our new agreements with Sprout and Treehouse ensure we are well-positioned to continue entertaining preschoolers and their parents across North America for years to come.”

“ABC Commercial is thrilled to partner with both Sprout and Corus Entertainment,” noted Jessica Ellis, the head of ABC Content Sales & Distribution. “The Wiggles have long been a favorite for millions of families across North America and we’re excited to be giving those loyal fans exactly what they’ve been asking for—more inspiring content from The Wiggles.”

“Treehouse holds a long-standing position as the number one preschool network in Canada and is associated with the best children’s entertainment in the country,” added Daniel Eves, the senior VP of specialty content at Corus Entertainment. “This exciting new partnership with ABC Commercial and The Wiggles bolsters Treehouse’s slate of award-winning programming with even more beloved kids’ content from one of the most preeminent preschool brands in the world.”
