Sesame Street & Blippi Team for New YouTube Content

The characters of Sesame Street and Blippi have teamed up to appear in new episodes and music videos that will be available on each of their YouTube channels.

In the episode “Blippi and Meekah’s Birthday Surprise for Elmo!,” Abby plans to throw a surprise birthday party for Elmo, and Blippi and Meekah pitch in to help make it the best it can be, with a special red garbage truck present and a colorful cake.

“Blippi and Elmo’s Big ABC Dig” sees Blippi and Elmo visit Diggerland, where they come across an excavator ride and sing the Excavator Song. When they do so, they realize that “Elmo” and “excavator” both start with the letter “E.” Together, they search for other construction vehicles and equipment whose names begin with other letters.

The third episode, “Blippi and Meekah’s ROARing Dino Day with Big Bird and Elmo” sees Dino Blippi and Dino Elmo join paleontologist Meekah and dinosaur expert Big Bird to explore Field Station: Dinosaurs with a prehistoric tour guide, Stanley-Saurus, by their side.

The first of the Blippi and Sesame Street episodes and music videos will debut on February 3. Additional episodes and music videos will be available later this year.

“We’re beyond excited to work with Sesame Street to bring some of their beloved characters into the curious and adventurous world of Blippi,” said Katelynn Heil, general manager of Blippi. “I grew up watching Sesame Street and introduced my own kids to it as well, so it is a bit surreal to partner with such an iconic brand. As we celebrate ten years of Blippi, this partnership is a great example of our joint mission of educating children through song, dance and play.”

“We are always trying to bring our fans new, interesting and engaging partnerships, and Blippi fits that mold,” added Jennifer Gioia, VP of multimedia programming and content strategy for Sesame Workshop. “We are thrilled to have our beloved Muppet friends Big Bird, Abby and Elmo join Blippi’s journey of exploring the world around them.”
