The video game based on Mondo TV Studios’ MeteoHeroes is set to be featured in the Campus Experience Football and Responsible Gaming kids’ summer camp taking place at the Real Madrid training complex.

Running from July 3 to 15, the camp aims to offer a unique experience that combines football training, gaming activities and the encouragement of positive values. At this year’s camp, Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) will support a program of PlayStationTalents activities centered on various gaming titles, including MeteoHeroes—Saving Planet Earth.

The camp’s activities will include sessions and activities incorporating an environmental theme. Held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from July 5 to 16, they will accompany the training program prepared by The Global Esports Academy.

The MeteoHeroes videogame, like the TV show co-produced by Mondo TV and Meteo Expert, builds on the value proposition of the brand that combines a message about climate and environmental issues and ways to protect the planet with fun and entertainment. MeteoHeroes—Saving Planet Earth invites children of all ages to join the characters from the TV series in a fun action platform game. There are enemies to escape from, adventures and multiple locations around the world, where players have to find hidden items on the screen that will help them rid each city of pollution and decay.

The MeteoHeroes video game has been available worldwide on PlayStation and PC (Steam platform) from February 28. It is expected to start launching in retail stores in the fall. The video game is a co-production between Sony Interactive Entertainment España (SIE España), development partner Gammera Nest and Mondo TV Studios. Worldwide publishing is managed by PlayStationTalents, as well as communication, promotion and launch activities. North American distribution and marketing for the game is managed in partnership with The itsy bitsy Entertainment Company, from producer Kenn Viselman.

Maria Bonaria Fois, CEO of Mondo TV Studios, said: “This is an important opportunity for MeteoHeroes, both to let children know more about an excellent video game based on their favorite TV series and to highlight the message of the show about caring for the planet. We are delighted to be working with Sony and Real Madrid at this important and timely event.”

Luigi Latini, CEO of Meteo Expert, said: “For all of us who have worked so long to create MeteoHeroes, it is a gigantic honor to be part of the summer camp of a legendary team like the immense Real Madrid, thanks to its Foundation. We are thrilled to know that while children have fun with MeteoHeroes, they can also have the hope that climate change can be addressed—and that together we will succeed.”

Roberto Yeste, head of PR, partnerships and new business development at PlayStation Iberia, said: “PlayStation is delighted to again be collaborating with one of Europe’s most fun and educational summer camps. And we’re thrilled to be introducing many young gaming fans to MeteoHeroes—Saving Planet Earth, a game that really aims to make a difference. Hand in hand with the Real Madrid Foundation, the youngest members of the household will be able to enjoy sport and video games together, learning great values in a few days that we hope will be unforgettable.”
