Australian distributor ABC Commercial has sold the new action-comedy series Born to Spy to the BBC to air on BBC iPlayer beginning June 29.

Created by Justine Flynn and produced by Aquarius Films, the spy show focuses on siblings Yu Na and Min Park, who discover that their unremarkable parents are actually international spies and their house contains a state-of-the-art spy headquarters.

Born to Spy has already been picked up by TVNZ in New Zealand and SVT in Sweden, with several deals being finalized in the U.S., Canada and Asia.

“We are delighted that Born to Spy will be available on BBC iPlayer in the U.K. and that this thrilling new show is gaining interest around the world as the next hot new kids’ scripted series and format,” said Jessica Ellis, head of ABC Commercial. “The ten-part series has been a great success with Australian audiences, and now U.K. viewers will have the chance to enjoy this exciting action-adventure series.”
