Mondo TV Group’s environmentally themed series MeteoHeroes has expanded its availability in Asia, Africa and Europe with a slew of new sales.

Thailand’s Cineplex acquired seasons one and two for broadcast on its True-branded channels and platforms on an exclusive pay-TV and non-exclusive free-TV basis. South Korea’s Jei Broadcasting Corporation also acquired the exclusive pay-TV and non-exclusive SVOD rights for both seasons.

Season two of MeteoHeroes will be heading to Greater China via distributor SPE HK, which handles the rights for seasons one and two.

The free-to-air TV rights for season one were picked up by Mi Media International in Brunei, public channel MBC in Mauritius and commercial channel RTL Klub in Hungary.

MeteoHeroes is co-produced by Mondo TV and Meteo Experts. Due to their parternship with Kenn Viselman (Teletubbies, Thomas the Tank Engine) the show is also on PBS in the U.S., where it is a partner in a comprehensive climate education initiative supported by PBS stations across the U.S., KIDS FIRST!, Mondo TV Studios, Meteo Experts and Adventure2Learning.

A companion podcast, MeteoHeroes Adventures, was launched several months ago on the Adventure2Leanring platform and is now available on all podcasting platforms. The video game MeteoHeroes—Saving Planet Earth, co-produced by Mondo TV Studios, Sony Interactive Entertainment Spain and Gammera Nest, is also available globally on digital platforms.

Matteo Corradi, CEO of Mondo TV, said: “The global success of MeteoHeroes is continuing to grow as it enters new markets, where I am sure it will continue to entertain, educate and delight young viewers—just as it has in more than 180 countries to date!”
