Mondo TV Studios and Canela Media have signed a deal for two new shows to be featured on Canela Kids in the U.S. and Latin America.

The deal involves a license for streaming rights to Spanish-language versions of the shows. Agent 203, following a girl who finds out her dad used to be an intergalactic agent, is included in the agreement.

Agent 203 was commissioned by Germany’s SUPER RTL and will launch the first season at the beginning of 2024. The spy-fi show is a co-production between Toon2Tango, Mondo TV and Cosmos-Maya Animation.

Monster Loving Maniacs, featuring siblings Edith, Ernest and Bo, is also included in the deal. The three are massive horror fans who love dangerous paranormal creatures, which doesn’t match their grandfather’s old-school ideas.

Monster Loving Maniacs is produced by Ja Film and co-produced by Mondo TV, Belvision and Ginger Pictures. It was commissioned by leading broadcasters SUPER RTL and DR, while Mondo TV and Toon2Tango are responsible for global distribution.

Both titles, for 6- to 10-year-olds, are set to make their Spanish-language debut in the U.S. Hispanic market and Latin America through Canela Kids in November.

Maggie Salas-Amaro, director of Canela Kids, said: “We are delighted to continue our partnership with Mondo TV Studios. These two new premieres are in line with our mission to bring adventure and family stories through high-quality premieres to our Hispanic audiences.”

Maria Bonaria Fois, CEO of Mondo TV Studios, added: “The buzz around Agent 203 and Monster Loving Maniacs is getting stronger–and I’m not surprised. We feel both shows have the great storylines, animations, jokes and characters kids love, but also stand out for their unique and appealing ideas and themes. We’re delighted that Canela Media, a leading company in its field with a strong audience reach, feels the same way.”
