Mattel Teams with TOKYOPOP for Manga-Style Graphic Novels

Mattel has entered a partnership with TOKYOPOP to develop original manga-style graphic novels based on the Barbie and Hot Wheels brands.

The first titles, including a Western-style manga series inspired by Hot Wheels and new stories featuring characters from Barbie, are set to debut in print in 2026 for children ages 8 to 12.
