all3media international’s Louise Pedersen Joins Playground Television

NEW YORK/LONDON: Louise Pedersen, who has been serving as managing director of all3media international, is joining Playground Entertainment in the newly created role of managing director of its U.K. operations.

Pedersen will be involved in all the commercial aspects of the company and will be responsible for day-to-day activities in the U.K. Pedersen will be reporting to Colin Callender, the founder and principal of Playground. The outfit—which has had a number of drama hits across TV, film and theater—plans to open a London office in 2015, where it will focus on original British programming and its co-production slate.

Pedersen has been with all3media international for the last decade, overseeing its international distribution. Before this, she was the director of international sales at ITV.

“Louise will be an invaluable strategic addition to the Playground team,” said Callender. “She has a masterful understanding of the changing television landscape in Britain and around the world and has worked with some of the best drama producers in the U.K. She’s a brilliant executive and perfectly positioned to help us with the next phase of Playground’s evolution.”
