SF Studios has inked a new agreement with Warner Bros. to manage its physical (DVD and Blu-ray) home-entertainment releases in the Nordic region.

The new deal covers film and TV series and will be effective from summer 2020. Upcoming Warner Bros. titles that SF Studios will now handle the physical home-entertainment releases for include Patty Jenkins’ Wonder Woman 1984, Christopher Nolan’s Tenet and catalog titles such as the Harry Potter franchise and Game of Thrones.

The pact expands on SF Studios and Warner Bros.’s existing relationship, as SF Studios currently serves as the theatrical distributor for the studio’s slate in the Nordics.

“We are very happy and proud to have entered into this new agreement with Warner Bros.,” said Martin Brandtler, Nordic head of home entertainment distribution at SF Studios. “The entertainment landscape is constantly shifting, especially during these uncertain times, but one factor remains consistent: audiences’ appetite for content. We are thrilled to be able to share Warner Bros’ expansive library with consumers in the Nordics and look forward to releasing their exciting slate in due course on home entertainment.”

“During the negotiations, we’ve been impressed by SF Studios, their passion and dedication to the physical format” and we are looking forward to working together,” added Johan Mannerhill, managing director for the Nordics at Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Group.
